Baking cookies, making cupcakes, and seeing an...
I woke up this morning and made brownies, then after making brownies, decided to make cupcakes, and then after making cupcakes, my mom decided to make chocolate chip cookies which she dipped in chocolate. Needless to say, the house smells incredible. Whenever I bake, I have a rule: I MUST try everything to make sure it’s “okay.” I mean, maybe it’s more of an excuse to eat...
"Adventure is out there!"
I got home from UD today after my last final (Music History) and it has already been so nice and relaxing. I am sitting on the couch with no work to do with my mom and Andrew and we’re watching “Up,” which is where I got the quote for the title of this blog. I love this movie, and so does my mom (this is the first time that she has seen it) and Andrew. I mean, how couldn’t...

Like the new look?
So I was just talking on the phone with my mom and she said that I should change the look of my blog because my other one (which was very dark if you hadn’t seen it before) was getting old. I agreed, and looked around on Tumblr to find a new background for my blog. This one is pretty good I think…
I’m going to keep looking. They should totally have a music theme…
I’m SO glad my jury is done!!!! =) yay! Huge sigh of relief…and what is even better is that it went really well. I am feeling so good about how I did at my jury that I may treat myself to UDairy ice cream later, more specifically the Delaware River Mudpie flavor (it’s the BEST)!
I have been to UDairy a lot with my friends and with my parents, and usually I try not to get the...

Finals week...be over soon?
So far I have had three of my four finals (not including my flute jury). I had Hebrew and Harmony on Friday, today I had SIght Singing (which went well!!!), tomorrow I have my flute jury and this Friday I have my last final: Music History. I have far over half of my finals done…I can’t believe that I have to wait an entire week to take my hardest final. I mean, it gives me time to...
smangles asked: I really like the second movement of your flute sonata, is the first anywhere on your blog?

I have my first final of the semester this morning!! I’m not too terribly nervous about this one (it’s Hebrew) because I have done well on the exams for the class all semester and I studied a lot for the final. I just can’t wait to be done with all of my finals :) it will be such a happy day next Friday when my last final (Music History) is done. My last final also happens to be...
welcome-to-my-masterpiece asked: Hey, I found your blog because I have 'flute' as a tagged post. University of Delaware is my top choice for schools. I'm a senior in high school right now, and I'll be auditioning in February on flute for UDel. How do you like the music program? I've had a few lessons now with Eileen and she's great! Any advice about my audition?

Yesterday was a very productive day for me. I had class, then went to lunch with Marissa (who is also a blogger for admissions) which was SO much fun, then did my presentation for my marketing class, then I went back to my dorm and read a book for the first time in a while. I love to read, but having a bunch of book to read laying around in a dorm room takes up so much space, so as a result, I...
SUCH a Monday...
It is such a Monday this morning…my alarm could not have been any more displeasing to hear at 8am. Ugh! I got ready for the day, put my letters on for the first time and then stepped outside to the foggy-ness and gross cold weather. Ew! It’s time for music history…
I already blogged today but I thought that I should just add the fact that I am absolutely amazed about how fast time is moving. I cant believe that next semester I will be a second semester sophomore. Seriously though…everyone I have talked to feels the same way…
hey from an SAI sister =)
I am officially a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota, the female music fraternity at UD!!! I got initiated last night and I can finally say that I am a sister of SAI! I went to my first meeting with the rest of the sisters today, which was exciting. I am looking forward to learning how the fraternity works.
Tomorrow I am going to lunch at Cucina Di Napoli on Main Street with my fellow blogger, Marissa...

GUEST BLOG: Music Education Major, Andrew...
So as I am sure Jacki has told you, the life of a music major here at UD is pretty crazy; but at the same time it is totally worth it! I am a sophomore music education major with a percussion concentration. I am from Pittsford, NY, which is about 6 hours away from UD. Not very many people from my area come to UD, or even travel out of the state to go to college. I was really looking forward...
I can’t believe how fast this week went by! It’s already Friday?! What? I don’t remember the last time I thought that a week went by as fast as this one did. I’m not complaining though, because I love when the days go fast during the week. I had one of those moments this morning where I realized it was Friday but I thought it was Thursday. It was great!
So I have been...
So close to finals!
I can’t believe that finals are coming up so quickly! They start next Friday!!!!! Ahhh!!!! I have been really busy this week, and I think that I’ve been blogging about that a lot lately. Anyway, I have a paper that I need to write (which is due on Friday) and after that, all I need to do is study study study!
So today I had a really good flute lesson and then did my homework and went...
