This is such an exciting post for me!!!!! I’m so incredibly lucky and excited to be able to say that I am Miss Newark 2013. I was crowned Miss Newark last night, and am now going to be working with many wonderful people on the Miss Delaware board to prepare for the Miss Delaware pageant at the end of June. I am so excited!! This is a picture of me with a few of my Sigma Alpha Iota sisters who came to the pageant. =)

I feel like it has been forever since I’ve blogged! Oh wait…it actually has been. UGH!!! I have been so incredibly busy at school with all of my classes and rehearsals. We had our first wind ensemble concert of the semester on Friday, and it went SO well. Our music was very challenging, but we were able to prepare all of the music in the few weeks we had rehearsals. It is truly amazing how talented all of the musicians are here at UD.
On a totally different note, I have found the most amazing tutor for my hardest class this semester. Janine has helped me understand Finance having only had two sessions with her! I am so lucky that UD has such great tutoring resources. I definitely wouldn’t make it through the class without her.
HOMECOMING IS THIS WEEKEND!! I know all of the students are excited. Homecoming is a huge event at UD, and is definitely something everyone looks forward to. Everyone gets involved in homecoming in some way. Check out all of the homecoming activities here: http://www.udel.edu/homecoming/

I’m FREAKIN’ out!!!!!
So I have recently decided that I want to study abroad during Winter 2013. I got an email the other day about taking music classes in London, England with the orchestra director here at UD and I REALLY want to go!! I love the director, I love music, and I love to travel, how could it get any better?! I am almost done with the application-which was a breeze, I must say-and I am so excited to send in my application. I really hope I get called for an interview…
